Hello Edison residents! We’re highlighting unique areas within the neighborhood. Help us decide what to call these areas! Stay tuned as we highlight a different area and suggest possible names to choose from.
With almost 10,000 residents, Edison is Kalamazoo's largest neighborhood. Each area will remain part of Edison as a whole, but these nick names will allow us to highlight the special characteristics of each area and help us to better serve and connect with all of you.
The polls will be conducted for the next few months on our Facebook page and at upcoming neighborhood events.
Another suggestion I have is that the industrial areas are in their own zones.
Zones 3 and 4 should be split N-S by Bryant instead of E-W by Cameron. The north end of 3 (incl Shakespeare) should go to 2. It's odd to me that Zone 1 is part of this neighborhood - I'm not against it, it just doesn't seem like a cohesive area with the rest of Edison.
Southtown is NOT Edison and Edison does NOT speak for Southtown. Stop this predatory campaign against your neighbors. This is very unneighborly of Edison. Southtown is made up of 599 parcels. 123 East Maple is NOT in Southtown.
